Royal Fail put to the test

Royal Mail, or the British postal service has been tested by an intrepid young artist via a series of challenging postcards. From my experience with Royal Mail in the UK, my friends and I decided to call it Royal Fail. Anyway, have a look at the postcards below and the full article in The Independent newspaper:

I'd have had them arrested for wasting a public service, or something similar. I dont think the... is it 80,000 people? that makeup the royal post deserve the headache of brats when they are trying to do their jobs.

According to Top Gear, the Royal Post is faster than a Porsche! lol.

the idea of royal mail is great, and i respect it, but when your post is thrown on the wet pavement in a rainy winter instead of put inside your mailbox, you start to hate the feckers.

MJ.. i agree.. they are very creative.. especially the eye-test one,, or the colour blindness test.. mind you the latter was probably the most instantanously-recognisable card as being an address.. i loved them!

Sir Rowland Hill, in 1840, introduced the penny post (with the famous Penny Black stamp) in one of the greatest ever pieces of social legislation. It recognised that people anywhere in the Kingdom should have equal rights of communication. Progressive taxation at its finest! London subsidising the outlying areas like the Hebrides or Cornwall. There was a true visionary.

"Social legislation" has a beautiful ring to it!

The UK has a lot of history, and we can learn a lot by learning about it!
