Muammar Gaddafi - A Tented Leader

Ever wondered what Muammar Al Gaddafi's tent looks like when he goes abroad? Well luckily the Guardian has a series of 9 pictures that tell us all about it. Here are two of them.

the cost of transporting his stupid tent and its equipments runs into $millions, so much for not wanting to stay in a hotel like normal people do!!

This is the tent that cause the outcry in the US? It looks nice. I want one now!

What would happen if he went to Alaska? Or hurricane territory?

MJ, he'd bring a cave!

BTW Mr BuJ, what's the deal with the tent biz? Does he 'live' in it or just entertain? If the latter, perhaps a good thing eh?

Pic# 4 - he sort of looks like Will Ferrell in Zoolander.

Shukrans for the pics.

ABIT, the brouhaha from an over-paid, zero-talented, sensationalistic, biased, useless and PR'd (read, bought out by special interests) American Media was because they had nothing "newsworthy" to work with or report...I don't think people in general gave a sh*t.

*Meant the American mainstream media.

Hemlock, thanks!

Anglo-Libyan: (I never thought of the tent as an expensive type of accomodation, rather as a cheap form of advertising).

ABIT: The tent probably reminds the americans of the native americans and it scares the hell out of them.

Media Junkie, i bet he has many tents, one for alaska, one for hurricane territory etc... or as..

Mr Rosh, ..says, he'd bring a cave! hehe

You're welcome for the pics.. also i believe he lives and entertains in the tent.. a bit silly i think, but the guy loves to be eccentric.

Rosh, someone must have cared, it was on every American news station.

I didnt really care, but they never showed a picture of it, and so I thought it was some sort of shabby thing from the 30s. This is real nice!

Though one argument was it's against the NJ fire code. If so than thats that. You follow the rules of the country you're in.

Anyways, It's nice. And I want one! Put it on the roof. Its cooler now, Real nice out! Take the TV and Wii into it! Have the whole freej over.

Then again, it is Mr. Gaddafi's over the top way of needing to prove he's more "Arab" than anyone else. Trying too hard IMO.

"Rosh, someone must have cared, it was on every American news station."

The office elevator this morning had a breaking headline -"Kardashians burglarized!"

Yes - SOMEBODY must have CARED this sort of shite to be newsworthy.

Having (read, rather forced) to watch - Katie Couric (pay check $15million a year) - "report" the "strange" Gaddafi tent is indeed "newsworthy"! Whoo hoo! for tarting down the human intelligence and backwardness!
