RIP Sheikh Ahmad bin Zayed

Death is always painful.

Sadly it seems to strike when we least suspect it.

I won't say much except that it is painful to see a young son of the UAE and of Sheikh Zayed die suddenly like this.

I'm referring to Sheikh Ahmad bin Zayed, may his soul rest in peace.

Sadly, this reminds us of events that happened 2 years ago when the UAE lost yet another one of its sons, Sheikh Nasser bin Zayed.

Again, both seemed to have met their maker in aviation-related accidents.

Allah yer7amhum wo inna lillah wa inna ilayhi raji3oon.

PS: please excuse my absence.. i realise i should have written this earlier, but better late than never.

Mashallah, and where were you when this all happened.

I'm kind of annoyed that you added the bit about Sh. Nasser... The reaction to Sh. Ahmed's death was HUGE, 1000 times that of Sh. Nasser's.

There are reasons for that, as an old wise man once told me, "In the end you get the send off you deserve."

Wont say more than that.

Allah er7amhum. Say Ameen.

oh sorry UB.. i wasn't available all week.. i wanted to post something but alas.. what can i say?

what's wrong with mentioning Sh Nasser? btw, I also blogged about Sh Nasser when he passed away (in my old blog) and i used the very same pic you see here.

Still i am focusing on the family of Al Nahyans, and their mothers.. it must be very very painful to lose 2 sons like that so quickly..

this is Allah's wish at the end and we have to respect it.

May he rest in peace.

Not to be a total ignorant, but who was he? I never heard of him before.

He was the man who kept Abu Dhabi alive for the last 12 years.

Khalood, to be honest, I didn't know who he was either -- apologies on the ignorance. However, I got to know more about him from Rose and Blue's blogs. May his soul rest in peace.

Yes, so tragic.

Dubai may be crippled by his passing for a while. They were counting on him.
