Eid Squared

Greetings dear readers.

Eid greetings come multiplied... First of all Eid Mubarak on the occasion of Eid Al Adha where the faithful walk in the footsteps of the Prophet Mohamad (PBUH) who walked in the footsteps of the Father of the Prophets - Abraham (PBUH).

May your times be happy and your meals delicious (but healthy!)

We're about to approach another Eid (celebration) in two days.. anyone excited about National Day?

I'm looking forward to participating in the huge procession at Emaar Boulevard :-)

My brother is planning to be part of the huge procession on Wednesday, but then again, he is *the* patriot of the family.

3eed Sa3eed BuJ..

For the first time in my many years in exile; I miss Eid in UAE so badly.. I realized that we're a nation of very strong and beautiful social ties.. I just love our values and the way we're raised.. we're very civilized compared to the cold West !

Inshallah I won't miss the next ones whatsoever.. it's hard to be away from home and it's harder not to share that beautiful peaceful Eid smile with anyone..

Happy National Day as well ..

We've noticed that all the large UAE lets get together ooh lala stuff are in Dubai, even on Dubai's TV channels they are spewing unity 24/7... Is this to be taken as the precursor to begging for Abu Dhabi's money?

You'll notice it ist so prominent on Abu Dhabi's channels.

Eid Mubarak (if a little late)

hello lovely people and thanks for your comments.

***Media Junkie.. shukran!

***Mr Rosh... mashkoor yal 7abeeb! The UAE misses you as it celebrates its 38 years!

***Dana.. lovely to see you here :)
are you really 16 and home schooled? I have family in California and their kids are home schooled (aged 10 and 13) and they are very cool kids :)

Is "delurked" even a word? hehe,, anyway welcome back!

3ala fikra, i think the procession is today, no? 1 dec 2009 in dubai. there must be huge ones orgaised all over the UAE :)

***IYM, the UAE misses you too.. yalla.. not long to go, eh?

one of the main main main reasons i left the UK to come back to the UAE was the family. This goes back to social cohesion.. we have a lovely culture that is just not as warm in the West.

*** KJ.. welcome welcome and happy Eid Squared :)

*** ABIT... i'll be there! watch out!!

Touché IYM! There is something special about this time of the year in the UAE. Peaceful becomes ever much prettier to the soul :) I miss it so bad.

ABIT: (I mean well) Please, could you give the "Abu Dhabi fuloos" talk a rest. Everybody gets it, even the Camels. It's the United Arab Emirates's National day.

We're celebrating our National Day here at our Embassy tomorrow.. I'm leaving work a couple of hours earlier so I get ready and pretty for the event ;)
I regret not bringing our National dress with me and there is no one to draw Henna on my palms :(
But I'll make sure we project a positive image of UAE professional potentials in front of foriegn politicians and delegates ..
